Chin straps attach directly to a hard hat and are adjustable to ensure a secure fit.

Hard hat chinstraps clip onto hard hats to keep the hat secured in high winds or when working at heights. Hard hats with added chin straps are an alternative to climbing helmets, though they don't provide the same coverage for the back and sides of the head that climbing helmets provide.
